Why rust is in my steam machine?

All tanks are made from metal. As you use the steamer the water level in the tank drops exposing that area of the tank to air. Water has minerals in it. Some areas of the world have a higher content than other areas. When hard water is introduced to high temperatures and pressure these minerals begin to group together and fall out.

Why should I use Clean Steam?

Most steamer companies mandate that you keep your steam machine full always for this reason. Keeping your tank as full as possible removes the air creating rust.
